Just because you have a rock star ex-husband and a couple million in the bank, doesn’t mean you don’t have the same real estate troubles as everybody else. Gwyneth Paltrow has been seriously struggling to sell her New York love nest that she shared with Coldplay front man Chris Martin prior to their “conscious uncoupling”.
The actress has struggled to sell the Tribeca apartment, and recently knocked a whopping $2 million dollars off the asking price in an effort to get more interest. Considering it still costs an impressive $12.7 million dollars, we’re guessing there wouldn’t be too many takers.
The penthouse apartment is just over 3,890 square feet and features four bathrooms, marble countertops and a sweeping terrace and balcony. Gwyneth is so desperate to sell the apartment that she even posted about it on her blog site Goop.
She described the apartment as “floating above the cobblestone streets like a pale, dreamy cloud. Pastel silks, hand-embroidered wallpapers, and cool swaths of marble punctuate the space, which balances centuries old techniques and antiques with a confident, breezy modernism.”
And it really is like a cloud. The entire apartment is basically decked out in various shades of white and cream, which real estate agents have cited as one of the possible reason’s it is failing to secure a buyer. It’s feared that the featureless white rooms are too austere for the average buyer.
If you’ve got a spare $13 million lying around, check out the inside pics and help poor old Gwyneth out.
