Are you planning a wedding? You’ve probably spent hours scrolling through Pinterest, looking for the perfect floral display, table settings and venue – but how about your dress?
The most pinned wedding dress on the image sharing site has been revealed, and it is a stunning bohemian style from Aussie design house Grace Loves Lace. It’s called the Hollie dress, and it has been pinned more than 2.5 million times on Pinterest. That’s a whole lot of brides.
The cult dress is named after designer Megan Ziems sister, and features an amazing lace bodice and chiffon overlay. It retailed at just $2,200, but has since sold out worldwide, prompting the designer to release a recut called the Hollie 2.0.
The dress reached global audiences when British socialite and star of Made in Chelsea, Millie Mackintosh, wore it to her wedding reception. She was married to Professor Green in a vintage gown, but changed into the more relaxed Hollie gown for her reception/ after party at cult venue Babington house.
“Brides have a new appreciation for lace these days,” says designer Megan Ziems, “it is so exciting for us to take such a beautifully classic fabric and bring it to life in new ways.” Bohemian, freeflowing wedding gowns like the Hollie gown are taking over from the highly structured ball gowns that have been in vogue over the last decade.
So if you’re looking for something a little different – check out the Hollie 2.0. 2.5 million women cant be wrong.
