You may look totally clean and normal on the outside, but chances are your outfit has probably been pulled together with the aid of one of these five gross fashion habits. How many are you guilty of?
1. Never washing your jeans
Do you refuse to wash your skinny jeans until they are literally so baggy and shapeless that you can’t put it off anymore? You aren’t the only one. Denim experts say that if you are dreading parting with your jeans even for one wash but want to keep them hygienic, stick them in the freezer overnight. Don’t ask us why, but it works.
2. Wearing enclosed shoes without socks
We get it – winter is tough. And so is finding two matching socks in the morning when all you want to do is get back in bed. If you stumble out with boots on but no socks underneath you are seriously shortening the lifespan of your shoes. Your exposing them to sweat and dead skin, which will a) make them smell horrible and b) give you athlete’s foot if you try wear them again.
3. Returning clothes you’ve worn
Broke girls everywhere have long lived by the process of purchasing a pretty dress, wearing it for one night and then returning it in store. It goes a little something like this: you buy something to wear to a specific event, realize you are definitely never going to wear it again and then pray to God that the sales assistant doesn’t sniff out the unmistakable scent of tequila still clinging to the item.
4. Wiping makeup on towels
So you’ve just applied a full face of makeup and you’re looking pretty damn good. Only problem is is that your full coverage, oil based, streak less, waterproof foundation is still stuck to the palms of your hands – and it ain’t budging with tap water alone. But bath towels work a treat.
