Ever went to wear your pair of white jeans and then thought better of it? We don’t blame you. White jeans are pretty much the riskiest item of clothing in your wardrobe.
The rules of life basically dictate that as soon as you walk out the door in white jeans, your bound to spill your coffee, sit on a cigarette butt and have your dog wipe its grimy paws all over you. From past experience, white jeans are pretty much magnets for dirt, food and bad luck.
But the clever folks at Old Navy have put a stop to all of that and created the first pair of stain repelling white jeans. They retail for just $45.00 so you have no excuse not to get your hands on a pair.
Melissa Morrin, senior designer for women’s denim at Old Navy, spoke to Refinery29 on the process involved with creating the magic jeans.
“The pairs are treated with a stain resistant wash, which makes liquids roll off the surface, magically, making the jeans perform well with many of your everyday liquid spills like coffee, juice, and wine; and combat more difficult stains after one wash".
The jeans cater to all sizes and heights as well as being available in a number of cuts – from skinny to high-rise flares.
