Is it really any surprise that celebrities also fall victim to Internet bullying? Their personal social media accounts are often the targets of trolls, who are usually ignored or blocked. There have been some circumstances where these celebs just couldn’t bite their tongues, and have dealt out some hilarious (and well deserved) comebacks to their haters.
1. Frankie Muniz
Okay, so he may not have any groundbreaking performances under his belt, but he does have seven seasons worth of Malcolm in the Middle paychecks. Muniz left the acting game in his teen years and is clearly not looking back as he responds to a fan less than impressed with his skills. You can’t really argue with $40,000,000.
2. Gabourey Sidibe
The Academy Award nominee and star of Precious is used to the ridiculous amount of hate she gets regarding her weight, but she snapped back after her appearance at the Golden Globes prompted a particularly vicious onslaught of fat shaming.
3. Spencer Matthews
The man basically made a career out of being a douche so it isn’t a surprise that he stirs drama in the Twittersphere just as well as he does in real life. The Made in Chelsea star has had enough feuds to last a lifetime, but his longest lasting has been with hip hop star Professor Green, the fiancé of his MIC cast member, and former friend, Millie Mackintosh.
4. Derren Brown
The British illusionist publicly came out of the closet this year and had the perfect response to any homophobic hate he received. Because nothing makes us happier than a bully getting put in his place.
5. James Blunt
Is it really any wonder that the man who sung You’re Beautiful has become an expert at responding to teasing? Blunt has become somewhat of a comeback King on Twitter, and often responds to jibes about his voice, height or face with wit and/or jokes about his genitals. See below.
