Times are a changin’ folks, and MAC has honored its status at the forefront of the makeup world by launching it’s first unisex line. The line is designed to be worn by both men and women, and has been created in collaboration with the Brant brothers.
Peter and Harry Brant are the sons of super model Stephanie Seymour and billionaire art dealer Peter Brant. They have come to be quite the socialites themselves, often spotted out on the town with the cool kids of Chelsea. They’ve become known for their decidedly androgynous look, and they aren’t afraid of adding a little eyeliner to heighten their look.
So what’s so different about this collection? What actually makes it unisex? “The only reason why the line is called unisex is because men would feel more comfortable with it. We’re guys, you can sell makeup to guys. It should be for both genders,” said Harry when interviewed by Stylecaster.
The line is full of great neutral shadows, moody kohl liners and long wearing lip stains in shades of rust and natural pink. It also features a lot of products intended for the grooming of the face, like a killer brow tamer and clear mascara.
For the packaging addicts, the new collaboration has it’s own exclusive limited edition packaging. MAC’s signature glossy packaging is revamped with a Brant brothers signature scrawled across the cases. The Brant brother collection will be dropping in stores in August, so prep your bank accounts ladies, because this one is guaranteed to be a sellout.
